Back in 1992 i went to school with a kid called elwyn roberts,we hung round and cycled together.He was quite good at down hill and won the youth british downhill champs,which was automatic qualification to the worlds,that year in bromont-canada.He was sort of sponsored by fat chance,they paid his race fee`s etc.One day in his garage he was telling me that his chain kept comin off,on bumpy sections,and wanted advice.So at school we both designed some little devices and when home put one together,it was a little crude,jockey wheel-metal plates etc.So of he went to the worlds and he crashed when he flew over the bridge,and we all laughed when he came back ,but he told me while he was there he bumped into pete tompkins ,he showed him our little devise so pete took a photo of it .We then went to cyclex in london,we met Ross Shafer and he gave us some mexican salsa o my god like the hotest dip in the world and i met chris chance and ordered my monster.I could of had black ,thick clear coat or purple,so i ordered purple
Then we passed the chas roberts stand,and there it was,on a dogsbolx,our little devise-better-tidyier-lighter but our design with D.C.D printed on the front,SO DID WE INVENT THE D.C.D?
