Trek Sawyer. I remember the first advertisements where the Trek Broadsider was showed as a prototype and in 2011 the Sawyer was born. Less wild as this proto but very much klunker style. Had this frame in my possession for many years (bought when still working for Trek) and had it build in some weird, I admit, setups. Came across some pictures on FB where there’s a small community praising the Sawyer and then I knew how it should be build: big old school bmx/moto style handlebar, leather seat and big balloon tires. Combined with a nice pair of CK hubbed wheels and Hope Tech 2 brakes, shifting Deore XT 11 speed it has all modern plusses but still looks old school. And apart from the looks it also rides really nice. It’s a keeper
