Right, here she is. For those of you that know I bought this frameset and had it completely refurbished before building it up into my ideal bike.
It was only when I bought my Klein that I realised the Trek was just a touch too small for me. Most of the components have already been sold but now here is the frameset.
This is a 2002 Trek 5200 OCLV Frame. That means it is a OCLV120 Frame, with an Icon Air Rail 00 Carbon fork. I sourced the decals from the USA and had the frameset professionally repainted in the UK. The decals are all under the laquer.
The paint finish is pretty much flawless. There is a very slight sign that a bottle cage has been fitted on the downtube (no scratches or chips more like a slight mottling of the paint finish) but you have to look to find it. All the dropouts have been polished. The original BB cable guide is in place, and as the chainstay protector is impossible to find no matter how hard you look I fashioned my own replacement out of 0.2 stainless steel.
There is a Hope headset and seatclamp fitted.
Size wise this is a Trek 56cm - that means 56cm c-t and 53cm c-c with a 56cm top tube
Whichever way you look at it I am losing my shirt on this. The decals and repaint were close to £200 and the Hope bits added another £100.
I am looking for £300 for this fabulous frameset.
I would prefer collection in person or am happy to pack and for you to arrange your own courier.
I travel the M4 from Newbury to Cardiff on a regular basis and also the A34/M40 to Lichfield if that helps.
