I picked this frame up recently but it is a bit big for me and a little bit early for the components I was planning on using.
It is an early Eighties M. Steel of Gosforth hand-built 531st frame-set. It is 25.5", centre to top. (other measurements to follow) (126mm rear spacing)
The frame is nice and straight with no dents, cracks etc but the paintwork does require attention. There are various chips and missing paint in areas. I have cleaned those areas up to show there was little more than surface rust there.
I was going to try and touch those areas up before considering repainting as it has all of it's original decals in place.
I have taken a few pics but will take more detailed ones and add them to a new PB folder.
What I am looking for in exchange for this frame is another 23"/24" late 80s/early 90s frame with 126mm rear spacing. I'd like something of a similar quality but 501/cro-mo with decent paint would also work. (I have short reach brakes so a frame with close clearances would be handy)
The frame is on Tyneside if you are local and want to have a look but quite happy to post.
