They're not a bad bike definitely worth saving. Reynolds 501 frame, Shimano Altus C10 Groupset with rapid fire shifters and Exage hubs. Also UK built, the last before Townsend went overseas and low end/kids bikes.

Ok I may be biased because I've got one.

Was it made in the UK....? What makes you think that...?

How do I know it was UK built?Because I contacted Townsend to get some info. They confirmed my bike was built in England. Manufacturing was sent to various Asian countries in the late 1990's

Scratch that, this bike has a 200GS rear mech etc. Still UK built and Reynolds frame though.

Looks like mine had some upgrades.
