I use something similar - only prob I have is that the safety mechanism that stops you from open more than one drawer at a time can stick making any drawer harder to open over time.

Until I decided to go walk about I used to work as a truck fitter and agree snap on is paying way over the odds for a box with a name

I used to use machine mart..keep an eye on them though as every now and again they have a vat free sale day..saved me a packet on this

I bought the top and bottom and yes in black and gold..lush

point to look out for..if you are going to buy one the chances are you will keep it and from time to time have quite heavy tools in it so whatever one you buy make sure the draws are multiball bearing slides..i.e. both sides have ball bearings to allow for heavier tools

the cheaper ones like the rac argos ones have just a slide like a kitchen draw..useless with heavy tools and over time are pants..the single ball bearing runners are okay but the difference in price between single and double rails is so small it's better to pay a bit extra for a box that you'll have for a time

on the tools some insist on snap on, I do have some trade needed tools that are snap one but the rest I bought from halfords professional range that replaces them free of charge should they fail..just keep the reciepts

This only seems to occur after you have bought something there. It might be worth asking around for anyone who has one of the offer vouchers that Machine Mart post.

I have top & bottom in black & silver and the quality is way above snap on for a fraction of the price.

+1 for the Halfords industrial. I have a Snap-on box and it is lovely, to be honest the Halfords industrial stuff is pretty damned good (bot not red and doesn't come with the nice stickers).
