I've just acquired this from a generous bloke on Pinkbike.
Its quite light considering its structure and the type of riding its aimed at :D
I'm going to transfer some bits from my Dirtworks Monster(that frame will shortly be up for sale) and a couple of bits from my Norco Torrent(which i might also sell as frame and rear wheel package).
It will mainly be for my son, i was going to use an Identiti 666 frame for him but the best place for that would be hanging of the QE2!!! I might weight in and make some money :D
24" wheels will be the order of the day along with the usual Hope brakes etc, not 100% sure what i will use until i start putting it together :D

Re: Tomac Omen 2004

Can anybody confirm the year? It seems some have the top to seatube gusset and some don't which i assume means a different year with the gusset being later?

Re: Tomac Omen 2004

No idea I'm afraid.

Out of interest what is the weight then? 7lb?

I'd love your dirt works but alas no cash.

Re: Tomac Omen 2004

I'm sure we could come to some sort on an arrangement
According to my good ladies digital kitchen scales 5lb 5oz

Re: Tomac Omen 2004

Threw the bits at it that i know for sure will stay :D
Still seems to be a very reasonable weight much to my surprise
I think a layback seatpost might be in order as it is rather short.
Loving it so far 8)
PS. I must learn how to take a decent photo

Re: Tomac Omen 2004(?) A little progress.

wow that is light!

looking good so far. Not usually my type of bike but looks decent.

Re: Tomac Omen 2004(?) A little progress.

The frames were silly expensive new, around £600 i believe, which is overpriced.
But when they turn up in near mint condition for 1/20 of that price :D 8)
But i guess the initial price is most of the reason for the light weight.

It is tiny, bear in mind those are 24" wheels, it thinks its a trials bike
Should be a hoot to ride, if i can wrestle it from my sons grip

Bled the brakes this morning, my son took it for a test drive and loved it :D
