Tom Bromwich 5 speed

I have just got this nice looking Tom Bromwich bike. I understand they are highly regarded.

Does anyone know much about them, tubeset and likely age?

I'm planning to just clean it up, new bearings and grease.

Not sure about the red cable outer but not sure what to replace it with? Obviously SP41 is out.

The Lucas bell is cool.

I'm sorry to say but to me the frame doesn't look anything special. Lugwork, seat stay tops, rear dropouts all point to a basic frame with TB transfers fitted. Pity Chris Dodd isn't still in business (well, I don't think he is. TBH, wasn't really aware he ever had a shop).

For sure Bromwich made gas pipe bikes too. Perhaps this is one.

I didn't pay much, its a nice pub bike.
