so i finished a nightshift this morning at 5.30am, had to ride this afternoon as i am on a 'quick turnaround' meaning i am back in tomorrow at 6am :(

so my mates ben and matt who now work tuesday to saturday were available for a blast across the forest including a couple of pub stops :D

we headed out from Totton on the edge of the new forest towards beaulieu and then onto brockenhurst, then lyndhurst then ashurst and back to totton. it's about 22 miles, nothing to harsh as matt has been off the bike for a while but we wanted something to blow out the cobwebs.

we stopped outside the local ferrari and maserati dealer for a quick look at the shiny stuff! Ben managed 2 punctures! and matt (at 6'2") tried my clockwork for a laugh! :D

matt was attempting to wheelie the bike but the ground is quite uneven and i caught at just the wrong looking moment! he also makes it look tiny!

Ah Ferraris. No offence to all the Ferrari owners here, (I can't be the only one?), but I would rather have your van. Now that is a vehicle worthy of lust! :)

I can't quite decide whether to kinda think you're retrobike's Walter Mitty, or not?

Plays golf with the Sultan of Brunei, eats brunch with Wills and Kate, Posh and Becks 8th child to be named after him... are any of these things real, delusions of grandeur, just ideas whizzing around your head, or bait for somebody to call you on?

I'm just waiting for a re-run of that old ad with the little boy saying to his grandad, "I thought Edmund Hilary was the first to climb Everest?" with you saying, "Aye, son, he were there... he were there..."

On the other hand, if you truly do have loadsa money, a lifestyle of the rich and shameless, and a real road going Ferrari in your garage, let me be the first to unburden you of some of your wealth - it'll only make you miserable in the end, and I have the perfect cure for that.

I would never countenance brunch with Will and Kate. She, after all, is a commoner. He is an anachronism.

Sean Connery, on the other hand... Now there is a man who could hold a decent conversation on malts, and could be trusted to drive my Aston back from the Groucho Club if I overdo it on the laudanum!

If I ever had the money to get a Ferrari, it would be a very old and very, very slow one!

For me - and yes, Miami Vice created the itch - but if I had one, it'd have to be a real one, not some bastard-love-child-Ferrari-Frankenfaker-Corvette.

edit: and another thing, jonnyboy666 lovely pics and all, but give the lens of your camera a clean for me, will ya - that blurriness is making my teeth itch.
