Titec Ti BB? Updated with pic 29/09/08

Apparently having looked at the original spec for my bike it has a Titec Titanium BB
Has anyone else heard of them or got/had one
Next question is, if so what tools would be needed to remove it.

Will do a pic when I get home, but its a new one to me

Never heard of a Titec BB (although doesn't mean they don't exist), shove a photo up and we'll tell you what tools!

I've never heard of it Rich, but Titec is short for titanium technology, so it's quite plausible that they tried their hands at ti bbs in their early days.

You could try a pm to someone like Ameybrooke or Rumpfy, in case they don't spot this thread.

i recall hearing about a bunch snapping but dont quote me on it cos it was ages ago and i have used my head to brake my fall tooooo many times.

Just so you know I haven't imagined it, here it is copied from the sales brochure.
It has the notches around the cup, but also six holes on the BB face around the axle.
Pics will reveal more later

Morning Anthony, good idea I shall pm the US lads if other lines of enquiry don't reveal much. More interest than anything because its the fiust I have ever heard of a Titec Ti BB and wonder if there any pitfalls or unusual tools that may be needed to remove it
