~~ Tioga Revolvers ~~

Behind Bars

Devout Dirtbag
well....as a few know, I am the Newby here.

This is a set of Tioga's I have had sitting around for a while.
To the best of my knowledge...these are 175 Tioga revolvers.

I had an Old School MTB Buddy walk through the uninstall with me.
I'm sure I could have yanked them myself, but I wanted to make sure we had 2 sets of eye's watching where all the spacers and such went.

I am stripping them right now...and I will refinish them in the near future.
I may even do them in White....with Black text, just to be the freak in the bunch :D :D :D

They do have a slightly different spider than my buddies set on his Yeti...
so maybe these are not revolvers ???

The White Tioga Text is still slightly visible on the Arm face...but "REVOLVER" is not visible
Stamped 175 Tioga

any input would be great!!!
I'll post Daylight Photo's tomorrow.
peace,
Kev.

the spider was changed as it had an inherant flaw...it somehow caused the stub on the crankarm to fail...i know this as it happened to me whilst sprinting down th road one day.i sent the arm and spider back and received a new revised version the next week .i love them for what its worth and had mine stoved in white with custom graphics to match my bike.....which then got nicked by some scum ...i would love to have these on my sannie so if you ever want rid let me know....

ps the frikkin bearings for these cost me an arm and a leg to replace but its worth it...the original spider had a slightly different shaped socket for the crank arm when they fitted together.this allowed a small amount of movement for the spider to move fore and aft.this rocking caused the arm to fail in the end which is why they beefed up the crank arm as well..because i was sprinting at the time when i9t did the fail i damn near faceplanted in front of a double decker.....

will look ace in white,i gave a set away yeasr ago    and regret it a tad :(

the spider i had kept wrarping so never span perfect but i didnt care,in my eyes i was the daddy with revolvers, theyre uber rare now and tbh well ahead of there time in the design stakes

love um :D

use hard wearing graphics ...the soft ones rub off very easily ...ps they dooo look nice in white ...choose enamell if you can get it...hard as nails..

I've just fitted a set of these to my Slingshot, was lookig for advice but found none - in the end they went together easily enough.
I was looking to source a set of decals for them but the originals are painted on (or screen printed, I'm not sure of the correct term) and replicating them in vinyl wouldn't look quite the same as well as being difficult to replicate the small text underneath "Revolver". If anyone has done this then I'd be interested to hear from them.
