Tioga disc drive???

I understand the fact that these look cool but could someone please explain the point of them?

Disc wheels are used for TT and track use for aerodynamics but I highly doubt that at MTB speeds you'd really gain anything.

They're just to look cool aren't they?!?

Am I going to get chucked off for this?!

maybe a FAQ thread.. you need an original hugi hub in the middle of a disk drive to make them sound properly cool

They were just another type of design of the rear wheel. Just like Spinergy, Spins etc

neither,its a system to replace the traditional spokes using a normal hub and rim purchased elsewhere.

I'm not saying they don't look cool and looking cool is a perfectly good purpose all by itself. What I want to know is how Tioga marketed them, surely they didn't just say "it looks cool"!
