I agree, maybe make him an offer as his bits are a bit overpriced. I sold a lovely Mavic 316 headset for only £5 more posted.

Found myself a 96 Kona Kula needing revamp; fitted is, thinks non-stock? Tioga Alchemy headset, bottom cup fair corroded. As this be my first changing of headsets any info would be more than welcome.

Please tell, what is the stack height of Tioga Alchemy 1-1/8" headset?

I've kindly been given names of number of more modern headsets though a bit concerened about this fit business. Generally I imagine all 1-1/8" headsets will tap/fit (ref below) into, in my case Kula, a 1-1/8 " Int Dia headtube?

I understand headtubes are pre reamed locally to a STANDARD DIMENSION at top and bottom giving an interference to the STD top and bottom cups?

Steering tube 230mm: Stem 50mm: Head tube 150mmm

I just don't want the wrong things coming from eBay!!! Ha Ha

Yeah. Could well considerer but maybe not same qual as Tioga Alcemy? For me to grasp things please tell: THIS FIT business! ALL 1-1/8" (retro & modern) headsets will tap-into ANY GIVEN 1-1/8" Internal Dia HEAD TUBE thus all are interchangeble...given stack height is small enough?

Believe 1-1/8 Tioga Alchemy's stack height is 25mm, please confirm.

The Dia Compe is a nice aheadset and they are the original designer. A bargain at £6 posted in the UK or a bit more depending on where you are. Will fit any bike designed for 1 1/8" headset. I can check the stack height and get back to you as not at home right now.
