It is black, with a kind of matt finish, pretty sure it is 27.2mm. No pic's yet but will sort some.

It will be 7 speed. IIRC it came off a 1990 Marin Bear Valley.

Thought so. I was just hoping it may be an eight. I'm looking for an eight speed freehub body. Thanks anyway.
