Ti Frame Going Cheap???

with welds like that I'd definately agree with him that it's either moots or merlin, maybe a seven. Definately not a Potts as the quality of the rear dropouts far exceeds his abilities. Certainly not a cheap as chips generic ti frame from the hands of a clumsy, underpaid tiawanese welder.....
 
and I'm guessing that the MT in the serial number doesn't stand for Mountain in any way shape or form!

Don't think it's a Merlin as AFAIK they didn't have wishbone seatstays, also the chainstays look wrong for a Merlin.

the Merlin Taiga has wishbone seat and chain stays but it's for sure not a Merlin or any other higher end frame.

Thats pretty rough. Dropouts and stay ends look very similar to the old tinbred I had.
Given the exquisite welds I would guess it came from the same gas pipe factory.
