After a thoroughly crap day at work I decided I would go for a quick ride.
Weapon of choice freshly built up 1995 Kona Kilauea (First proper retro ride!)
After five minutes of hard cranking I realised that i was missing so much on my newer bikes......flexy 63mm travel forks, v brakes etc :roll:
I loved it proper good clean fun!
A return to thumbies was a breath of fresh air - I may even say better than my SRAM X0!!! :shock:
Did miss a few shifts though (read: thumbs scrabbling around under bars!)
Loved it - have missed a lot over the years of riding more modern bikes.
Can’t wait till tomorrow now!
