Thomson Elite Seatposts x2 !!

I have 2 posts for sale;

1. Thomson Elite Layback Seatpost - Black 30.9 / 410mm - c/w carry bag. £40 posted
2. Thomson Elite Inline Seatpost - Black 31.6 / 367mm - brand new, only been used on one ride ! £40 posted

I am after a Layback Black post in 31.6 diameter, and would be happy to swap if anyone has one..

I have a 31.6 x 300 mm Easton EC90 with layback if you'd be interested in an exchange for the 30.9mm Thomson? Possibly too short for you though, but extremely light.

I would be interested in that, but the only EC90 layback I can find is designed for Road use... ?

This would be for my MTB.. Do you have any pics / links ?

When I bought the post it was advertised as for mtb or road use and came in a full range of sizes. Now I think they just make short ones and advertise them as road posts.

In any case, it was used on my now-dead Klein Attitude for years with no problems so I have no hesitation in saying that you shouldn't have any issues using it off-road. The walls of the post are a good 2mm thick in places. If I thought I was likely to buy another frame that fits it anytime soon then I'd keep it - but I'm not, and I'm not currently planning any swaps or upgrades.

Looks nice, but not sure if it has adequate layback ?

Layback is 25mm, which to all intents and purposes is the same as a 7 degree Thomson post in the end.

EDIT: according the Thomson's website, their layback post is equivalent to 16mm layback so the Easton would actually give you more layback.

Only pics I have tonight are below.. I can take close up photos of the post out of the frame tomorrow evening if you require them...?

The post was used for about a year in the bike pictured. Top quality piece of kit, I've just changed to a Meta 5, so needed a slightly bigger diameter..
