I strayed for a while but became bored of the Admin's habit of deleting genuine inquiry's especially when one of his bikes turned out to be a dud, dummy throwing. So I'm glad I'm back here, the knowledge sharing community rather than that increasing dick waving fb group.

Though I did get to connect with Charlie Kelly when I posted up a pic of the Schwinn I bought from DrSi, and had a quick chat about the proper way to build the wheels (I'm having to replace 99% of the spoke nipples as a cutting disc was used to trim off the spokes by whoever did the wheel build prior to me owning it a complete and utter ball ache ) and he helped in figuring out why the rear wheel always shifted ( knackered threads and a bent axle) which I remember someone mentioning as being a problem experienced by Si.

I get my vintage fix in several places. Curious what you mean by this?

I had noticed a trend for certain posts to 'disappear' and tonight I just had enough ( I do a surprising amount of social media work, promotions and trend calculations) and was beginning to smell bully tactics, a relatively interesting post about a gary fisher was put up by the admin saying it was a 'trials bike' this was pointed out by a former bikeshop owner as incorrect and some interesting details on why fat headtubes on small frames was given. which as I'm planning to build my daughter's first bike was really helpful and solved a design headache. The O.P. didn't like this and pulled the thread, a couple of us asked why and our threads were deleted. Just before leaving I posted saying I'm leaving because I can't be doing with it, a few bitchy comments from admin and i pulled my post.

I've heard of those Facebook's, but I've not got one myself. I signed up to Twatter, then promptly never posted anything and in the fullness time forgot the password.
