Sh*t . All the talk about watching TV on mobile devices or computers is just hype.

Two films and can i watch no. Blocked Unless i have a TV. If i had a TV i wouldn't be watching on a Computer

Just goes to show like most tech it's shit that is hyped so that people buy it.

Hence why i haven't got an expensive any thing now, 9 year old computer. Very Basic mobile, i shot my last hyper phone. I would get rid of both of them if it wasn't for work. My computer game is Tetris on the game boy colour. The looks i get on the tube when they notice
My mtb is rigid. No modern susser for me.
We don't have a micro wave or oven in the kitchen. Just the things that work every time.

Feel better now

You can watch stuff but you have to pay your licence still if you wanted to watch it live. Otherwise its just finding the right website or finding someone (online?) who has a copy.

I've watched live TV & films, catch up TV and pre recorded stuff on my mobile on a fairly regular basis over the last 6 months. Cant fault it, if you hold it close enough to your face whilst sitting in a dark room it is like being at the cinema.

I think more of the problem here is you are a natural born luddite with a general mistrust of modern technology that has left you with little energy to spare on actually finding out how things work and getting on with it.

Sure it may not be as easy as we all thought it would be. My suspicion is you are referring to the excellent BBC iPlayer. There is no fault in the technology they employ to deliver the service. The problems arise with distribution licenses, for example the BBC have the rights to broadcast shows like family guy via digital and analogue terrestrial broadcast, but they do not have the rights to broadcast the same material online, this is common too with many films.

You don't even have an oven :? It's hardly new tech, they have been used since the iron age it's only the vessel and heat source thats changed.
What goes wrong with microwaves? Im still using the same one we bought in 1994, I only have to reset the digital clock now and then if there has been a power cut.

I quite often watch live tv on my mobile, i use TV Catchup, really cannot fault it.

I also never had you chalked up as a shoreditch hipster type, playing tetris on the tube On a gameboy, next thing you'll be wearing skinny jeans and reminiscing with people named Tarquiniun about how you get a certain warmth from 35mm film that you just don't get from digital.
