Nasty, and I have seen a fair few industrial injuries.

Anyone ever seen the injury caused by a chain saw, that one requires skin grafts, as the very nature of a chainsaw blade, is to scoop out material and chuck it away leaving nothing left to stitch up.

Even with the experienced, in fact, especially with the experienced, gain a healthy respect for machines and never let the guard down, because they don't care, they will have you just as easily as they will have what they are intended for.
