I am Selling my father's 1950 Thanet Silverlight bicycle with complete original fittings.

History:

Purchased new in 1950 and mainly used for TRACK RACING. From 1952, the Thanet was used for racing up to 50miles, then with the local C.T.C.

The cycle was stored away from 1968 I went abroad. It was looked after by the my father.

The bike has all the original fittings, a marvelous cycle to ride and enjoy cycling, as I did years ago.

Only serious buyers please, as I have to travel to the location if viewed.

(Offers accepted)

Re:

WOW ! More details please, in my eyes this along with a Paris Galibier, and Sun manx TT are more collectible than any old Hetchins. Terry

Re:

Wow this is outstanding! Would love it but have absolutely no idea of its usual value or worth and can't find any online in this sort of condition.

Could you suggest a ballpark figure of how much you were after?

Thanks for your interest. I'm waiting on the exact specs... as my father has this information. I'm looking for around £2000 (offers excepted). I'm in no rush to sell as it's been in the family for over 50 years and is in complete original condition.
