Tablet PCs - tell me about them

I know absolutely nothing about these.

Just want something to use in the house via the wifi and if at all possible, wifi hotspots.

So will need to be able to type and browse.

Thats it.

Plenty on ebay but with minuscule memory. and Android.

the flytouch 2 seems the best..just make sure it is registered or they are a pain ...i had a flytouch 1 a few months ago...bricked the swine and now its shaped like a bannana in the bin...im getting the 10 inch version with android 2.1 soon as i liked the old one but it wasnt fast enough..type in flytouch 2 on youtube and watch the reviews...

Two of my friends got IPADs recently and they really like them. I have played with them a bit now and the screen is great and the touch controls are easy-it's just too pricy for me at the moment-they start at around $500 U.S. for the 16gig WiFi model.

yes theyre expensive and its a premium for the name but you do get quite a lot of bang for your pound

Does it? Will it run Flash? How many applications will it run at the same time?

ive not had any experience on ipad or tablet pc's and i fuggin hate apple
i was just pointing out the fact that tablet pcs as a whole are a luxury of sorts
as is technology
