The cranks are missing the very important chainring bolts. Definitely not worth the cost without those bolts.

I've read you need "special" bolts on some, but on the set I have, the bolts threads into the spider. Any insight on that?

Yep, definitely optimistic considering yesterday a new, never installed set, in the original package, with a bonus Syncros vest included sold for $565USD.


I have a compact set and as far as I can tell there's nothing special about the bolts. Maybe with the older non-compact variety, such as the ones in this auction, there are some special bolts for the outer chainrings? Just a guess.
