NICE fork. Would love to own it, but I don't see where the "Composite" name comes into play. Columbus tubed legs w/ Aluminum Crown. Looks like it also has aluminum dropouts. Perhaps that's what they mean by composite, steel sandwiched by aluminum? Still very nice.

Exactly so, same as Bontrager composite forks. I think they are using the term composite it is most literal meaning, ie something composed of two or more materials

Pete is precisely correct. From the definition http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Composite_material in wikipedia:
