Symbol stamped on bottom bracket shell

Anyone know what the heart-shaped symbol stamped in the upper right of the photo signifies? I have something similar on a Claud Butler road bicycle. Someone on another site thinks it's a Peugeot frame - wants to know which model it might be.

I don't think it means anything in terms of frame make, its probably just an identifier for the maker of the bb shell who would likely have supplied to many frame manufacturers

Something similar stamped after the registration number on my Claud Butler - a lazy "C" ...?

Looks to me that's not just a C it is a C followed by a B signifying Claud Butler. Commonly seen on early Holdsworthy Clauds.
