SWAP (WTD): 1973 Titan Maes Bar for 1950s one (Images added)

Swap - 1973 Titan Maes Kint Steenbergen Schotte 40cm Handlebars

Looking to swap for a 1950s set (ideally 1956, but any 50s set okay.)

Bought a stem / bar set from a fellow Retrobiker, the stem is 1956 and the the bars 1973. Wasn't fussed at all at the time as I'd been after a set of any sort for a while, but pedantic nature leads to this attempt at finding a correctly dated match!

If a straight swap wouldn't be a fair deal, let me know if swap + cash deal would be necessary.

Bars are in good to very good condition. Some scrapes on centre and right of sleeve that would need polished out. Rest of bar is very good, just residue from tape / grips on end of drops.

I may have some bars, they are chromed steel, and as of yet I haven't found a name on them, but they did come off a 1948 bike, with a 50's Cinelli Milano stem. I'd say the bars are original, so it places them in the right era.
Would let you have them for £5+p&p

That's definitely of interest, I'd love to check out a couple of pictures. I can give you my email if that is easier to send images?

I think the Titan stems might be quite large in terms of sleeve / clamp diameter though, so I might need to check on that.
But I do have two different stems to choose from that I’m rechroming for the eventual bike I put together, one is a standard clamp, nicely lugged stem so these might work with that anyway.

My main delay at the moment with this bike I'm building is that I started out with a 1960 Nervex Pro frame and I reckon I now want to swap for, or buy a ‘50s Path Racer / Track frame! Funny how projects change as you work on them. It’ll hold things up for sure, but the parts I’ve accumulated are all this era and deserve the right frame I reckon.

Right, I've taken some pictures today, and although they may look a little nasty it is just glue residue from the old tape. The chrome is good, and they aren't bent or anything like that I did get some glue off with white spirit, but I didn't bother doing it all.

They aren't branded, but they are period I am almost positive. So, interested still?

Sorry for the delayed response. I'm feeling pernickety at the moment so I'm going to try to find a period match for my stem for a little longer.

Just in case, do you know the clamp size of these, standard one inch?
