Not sure if I am posting this in the right place, but after some careful consideration, this seems to be the best place, but I have had a few beers, so if I'm wrong.....
So, retro is more my game, and I have what I feel is a lovely xc bike that I built as a commuter that I'd like to trade for something more retro. I'm looking for something that I don't have, perhaps ti, perhaps pace, who knows, but, and whilst this may sound mad, the pound for pound swap is not what's in it for me, but a project that floats my boat is more what it's about, so what do you folks have that will fill the hole, that you'd be happy to trade for something modern. I have the following to offer:
Frame: 2008/9 giant xtc 2.5 in 19 inch
Forks: fox f80x, serviced and only done around 300 commuting miles since. I also have a spare set of these forks that I bought, just in case, but will need a service
Drive train is the current (not 10 speed) xt shifters, front and rear (shadow) mechs
Chain set is xtr m960
Wheels are dt Swiss hubbed, wtb rimmed disc affairs
Disc brakes are hayes stroker trails
Stem is a use, with ti hardware
Bars are Fsa carbon risers
Seat post is a kore carbon I beam, but with standard saddle adapter
Saddle is a 'the' serfas ti railed number
Everything is in fantastic condition, frame has a few chips here and there, but nothing major/to worry about, it is also chipped, so will supply the detais to transfer this into your own name, so if it is stolen and recovered, you'll see it again.
As I said at the start, I'm after something retro and probably ti (as I've not ridden/owned a ti frame before, but a pace frame also interests me, though I'm sure other things would too) and the focus for me is more around a bike/frame that interests me, rather than making sure I get my money's worth from the swap, so hit me with your swap options, whether it be a full bike, frame etc and hopefully we can all come out with something we are happy with.
I can post pics should there be interest, though I currently have no computer, so pics may have to wait until Monday when I'm back at work.
