"Supersonic Divorce Machine" - aerodynamic tandem

Made to be as aero as possible, everything that can be integrated is, including the computer, aero bars, brake and shifter cables and even the front drivetrain. The leader pedals a crankset linked to the stokers’ via an internal shaft drive.

There are a couple of other interesting tidbits worth noting: First, those are SRAM carbon deep V rims laced to Specialized’s Roval Rapid Star hubs (which, interestingly, are no longer shown on their website). Second, the Stoker has no brake levers.

Then again, looking at the pic, you can imagine how low the person's head in the stroker position would be based on rear seat height and rear handlebar position, so I'm not sure they'd even be able to see anything to know if braking was necessary.

I have a MTB Tandem now, and have owned several other Tandems in the past, and none of them had a brake lever for the stoker, although I have seen some Tandems set up that way. Personally, I do not want my stoker to have a brake lever of their own because they generally can't see ahead that well and an unexpected application of the rear brake could cause bad things to happen in the handling department. Besides, the reason I ride the Tandem is to go FAST and I don't need my backseater slowing us down, when I can do that job when necessary just fine up front. That is an awesome looking Tandem, though.

What he said ^ the stoker shouldn't have brakes.

Fun looking toy though, I need one!
