I make and fix stuff for bikes, I have several lathes and an old mill and such. I'm not a pro machinist but I've been playing at it for decades, that and jewelry.
Anyway, on another forum a fellow asked me if I would have a go at the locknut for this shifter. I did a prototype and posted the result yesterday morning. By nighfall four people had replied asking for sets, and this morning there are three more. I'll be making swarf again today.
They're made of brass, attached should be pics of one beside a stock one, and how they look installed (In the background of the installed pic the leftmost brass one is the prototype, was too thick).
