just a thought does suntour index ok with with shimano blocks? i seem to remember everyone back in the day saying they didnt but actually they did?

or is it shimano shifters don`t work 100% on suntour blocks,

They do work, but Shimano shifters on a Shimano cassette works better; more precisely.
