No frame number - no drilled drop outs and what looks like a very bog standard 531 cut out bb.

I've seen that gold one on the bay and thought it was dodgy . Not me though although the name is the same !!

i think it's a genuine old early 80s sbdu frame.

check out the following classic raleigh features; tube ends at dropouts, top tube cable guides, fat seat stay ends at seat lug, prugnat lugs, chainstay stop for gear outer cable, chain hanger stop on right seat stay . .

True, its just that all the SBDU frames i came across in the 70"s and 80's were stamped with something. DOB, size, rider, H somehingnet. Even the stock ones from E G Bates were numbered.

Maybe it escaped from a builder who should have stamped it with a W number?

My own SBDU frame doesn't have drilled drop outs . . . I've seen a few others the same.
