Strange frame number

Can anyone identify the model of this GT from the frame number and pic? p1029-m snhua 07852708 is stamped under the BB. I first thought it was a pantera but looking closer at the picture the end cap is rounded. Lewis1641 did me a huge favour and collected this for me today from a guy near him. has it got 7005 stamped on the dropout
what sort of mech hanger is it

looks from that (poor) pic a 96+ generic frame
nothing wrong with that (especially at 99p) but nowt special and not as high
as an avalanche
only a few earlier avalanches had the flat tube cap

build a s/s out of it like mine

dont know yet till dave brings it up, will have a better idea then really. \lready got a '92 pantera built up completely original spec after some thieving bugger nicked my 92 zasker...but as you say for the price its worth doing something with it
