After researching who had the best-priced 20mm axle 'all-mountain' forks for sale I purchased a Marzocchi 55 ATA (Kona OEM over-run) from Wiggle. I will openly admit that the price was fantastic & shipping (to Australia) was free! The fork arrived from the UK in 3 days! All seemed too good to be true... until I opened the package (a wheel-box no less  ).
Wiggle had sent me a Marzocchi 55 ATA2, not the ATA I had ordered.
The 55 ATA & the 55 ATA2 were advertised at the same 'clearance' price, which I thought was strange at the time as the ATA is a far superior fork. I quickly went online to see if there were any 55 ATA's (with 225mm steerer) left in stock & found that they were all gone. I sent an email off to Wiggle, explaining my predicament & fairly promptly received a reply stating that I would have to return my incorrectly shipped fork for a refund as the fork I ordered was out of stock.
A few hours later I went back online & found that 1 unit of MY fork was now showing as being in stock again but at a significantly higher price. (*I'll assume as the result of my complaint, someone did a stock check, found my fork still on hand, adjusted it into stock & upped the price  ).
I jumped onto a 'chat' sesion with a CS rep @ Wiggle to explain the situation & was just fobbed off.
Being in the bicycle industry all my working life (whoelsale for the majority of the time), I have not had call to purchase cycling goods online before but the price I was presented with for the fork I ordered was just too good to pass up. Defend them all you like but unless they get back to me with the offer of making comprehensive reparations (& i'm not holding my breath) this was my first & last experience with Wiggle.
Anyone here have a contact on 'the inside' that might be able to help me out???
