Just popped out and took a couple.

One change I hadn’t anticipated is the increase in seat tube diameter, seat post was a 30.9, it’s now a 31.6… which also means my nice ti seat clamp won’t fit either.

Still need to sort a headset too, but everything else will swap over from the Surly.

couldn't stay away from stooge for too long then? What sort of riding are you going to be using this for? I'm kind of tempted by a rigid backpacking bike that would be "all road" - I guess this is more trail orientated?

It’s a niche style I’ve developed…. old man plodding, ornamental displaying with a little dust collection thrown in for good measure

I’ve got a mark 5, this look nice. Some of the builds coming out look very good. What bars / cockpit are you planning on?

The bamboo bars I had on the MkV and the Surly, mostly just swapping over from that to this.

The increase of seatpost diameter has caught me out with this though!

Headset is on the way so once that arrives I’ll be able to get it on its wheels.
