steel touring bicycle or frameset in 58/59/60cm

Retro Newbie
Going touring in August and looking for a good full build or frameset to build up in the sizes 58/59/60/ if anyone is looking to offload.

Re:

I might have a couple of frames and a couple of bikes that might suit.

A Dawes Horizon 501 frame in decent condition.
A Dawes Horizon Tour Frame with 525 tubing stem current stuck and frame needs tidying up).
A fully functional 708 tubed Randonneur. The pervious owner has used STIs, but the shifters are broken and been reverted to down tube. I have the bar ends and some levers to fix this, but not got round to it yet.
A rebuilt 531st Super Galaxy.

I'll need to check the sizes on each but I'm sure they're all between 57cm and 60cm. Can provide photos and more details if interested. I'd be looking for around the £400 mark for the full bikes, but obviously a lot less for the frames!

Does it have to be steel? I have a Giant OCR Touring frameset - alloy with steel forks. Let me know if it's of any interest and I'll sort price and pics

Re: Re:

Definitely needs to be steel and no smaller than a 58 on the seat tube I'm afraid.

I'd be interested in seeing photographs and prices for these two though!

This is the Dawes:

Excuse the angle of the saddle, I had a bad experience with a misaligned B17 a few months and over compensated!

The 34 Tooth rear gear is not currently usable on the 48 tooth chainring (not that you would, but I like all of the gears selectable). The reason is the 104 link chain (being a 9 speed chain I expected it to be longer). I have a 114 link chain on order and should have it in the next couple of days. I also have a M750 rear mech I was going to swap in (the M732 says max 32 tooth, even though it is working fine with 34).

I'll try and get the Randonneur out and get some pics later today / tomorrow morning once there is a break in the rain.

Re:

Some pics of the Randonneur as is. I've not touched this since I bought it last year and apart from an overly oiled chain and the brifters everything is in good nick. There's obviously the odd chip on the frame but nothing to worry about. I'd be very sorry to see this one go as I had big plans for it, but needs must.
