steel road bike wanted 54-56cm

Looking for my 1st steel frame racing bike, i'm 6ft tall think 54-56cm is my size,my budget is up to £400.00 i'm located in exeter,devon.

I have a friend who is selling a Fondriest SLX with a full Shimano 600 tricolor groupset, campagnolo wheels and record hubs. He is looking for £280 shipped. I think the size is a 56 but I will get more details tomorrow.
I will also get him tosend me some pictures over if you are interested.

Bobo. If you're 6ft then you really should be looking at a 57cm - 59cm approx or you may find yourself a little cramped.

Agree with the above.....I am 6' and ride a 23.5" which is about 59-60cm...The top tube length plays a big part too, althugh you can help this along with shorter/longer stem.....
If you are nearby, you could come over and have a play on my bikes to check for fit......I have 8 to chose from!

The only smaller one I have is a cyclocross frame which is 56cm......
