Star nut fitting advice

I'm after some advice on the best way to fit a new star nut into the steerer of my judy sl's. The internal size is 20mm and I'm having issues getting the star to go in straight.

If you have a long bolt that fits the thread use this to knock it in and help centralise it

There are specific tools for the job for not much £ but before I had invested in one, I used to use a hammer and screwdriver and got good enough results.

When you trade up and have good components, you want to treat them well so a small investment in a proper tool will pay you back many times over.

Put a 19 mm socket on the end of an extension bar. Use that to straighten it out once it's in.
