Sram Grip shift question

That's why a lot of people find the SRAM range confusing. They do shifters for both types of rear mech but the shifters themselves look the same. It's especially frustrating if the writing has worn off and someone's changed the rear mech. I've had customers do this before!

yupp

I have just got a couple that are going on my bike as soon as my frame is done pollished, and put together... "if I can figure out how to put the cables in them" but they look great... that's the most importing thing!

well

The Attack system, I have used the "triggers" Attack from Sram with my XT system and it worked pretty good.

My local lbs hated them "cause they are not compatible" he had missed that the gear hanger was a tad of its course... which I suspected and after a quick fix of that they worked really well. But the triggers suck, they are not comfortable and I don't like that u can't get them align perfect with Avid brake levers. I like the look u get with Gripshift, clean...

Depending upon the exact year they will either have a cable port in them (by the grip near the cable adjuster on the top) or you'll have to dismantle them. Normally there's a large phillips screw down near the cable adjuster. You unscrew that and remove the cover and they should just come apart. Just be careful not to drop the spring and make sure you look to see which way everything goes together.
