Spinergy Rev X - 26" wheelset... No longer for sale..

The only thing that WAS bad, was a small crack of 2 1/2inch in the aluminium rim of the rear wheel..this has been professional repaired. Wheels run straight, and i give it a 75% for smoothness...With some new bearings it's solved and 100%.

Can you post some close up of that repair of the rim? How about the brake surfaces? How flat/worn are they? Pics?

After much deliberation I decided to retain the wheelset ... I think I still regret this if I was selling. :roll:

It's ok... you saved me a LOT of thinking as well. Cracked/repaired Spinergy? Can I ride 'em? Should I put my money on 'em anyway dispite the risks? What if this, what if that. Yes, I think that you've choosed the best solution for all sides.
Can we see some pics of that repair anyway? I'mean.. is it welded? how did you heat treated after the welding is done? I just can't see HOW it's done with all that carbon... but maybe I'm wrong? send some pics..

yes i'll keep this wheelset and put them under my misses MuddyFox in the future..

Because of the fast heatdisperse of aluminium the carbon won't be affected during the welding..The crack had on the both ends 2 small drilled holes so it can't crack any further. Then it was al cleaned and the magic statrted..Tig welded, and after it al smoothed out..pics will follow ...
