Spengle MTB3 questions

Recently got my hands on a set of Spengle wheels. There's some hairline cracks where the spokes and rim meet. Done some research and it's pretty common, cracks in the paint. Not in the carbon. That's how I understand it. Is this correct?

Re:

hmm...

The top 3 look like they could be paint damage indeed. But are you sure the bottom one is only paint too?
When in doubt, I think you could always sand them down to check if the cracks are structural and repaint them afterwards. Sure, it's a lot of work because you need to do it by hand, but personally I'd rather be sure than having a wheel collapse while riding.

That being said, I'm not an expert on these wheels. I tend to avoid them really.
