Okay... so I'm getting back into cycling after a long absence (the kids, basically - now at Uni!) and due to bad knees have decided not to go the MTB route. It's tarmac (and cycle paths!) all the way now.
So my 1992 S-Works M2 - unused since c.1997, and only ever used for recreational (off-road) use - is up for grabs to part-fund a new cross-trail or road bike. I've no room for two bikes, so I want to move this one quickly. Won't split - it's the whole package on offer, as follows (not all shown in pic):
Frame: S-Works M2. 17.5 inch, to suit 5'9"-5'11" - top tube 21.75". Originally 'purple', it was resprayed Cobalt Blue by API around 1994. All decals were resupplied by Specialized USA, but it's only the S-Works and M2 that have stayed on - the rest have peeled off from under the clearcoat. But condition is pretty good
Forks: Original S-Works, plus spare set of Pace RC-35 (with new elastomers fitted)
Groupset: XT throughout. Long rear-mech
Headset: 11/8 (not A-Head)
Cranks: M730 Shimano (i.e. XT)
Gears: 21 (3x7) 28-?-46 chainwheels with 12/28 cassette
Brakes: Dia Compe 987 (+ spare set on spare forks)
Seatpost: Ringle Moby
Saddle: Selle Italia Flite (pretty ripped TBH)
Bars: Pace Sub130 Renthal (gold) with Onza barends
Pedals: Some plastic flats in the photo, but also comes with Ritchey Pro-Logic (blue) SPDs
Rims: Mavic 231 CD on XT hubs (26")
Tyres: Continental Leader Pro 2.1/Cross Country 1.9 (foldable)
Extras: Various bits to go with the bike, like original Specialized seatpost, spare grips, triggers, bottle cages etc
I want to clear £350, which I think is a fair price for a quick sale - it was approaching £4K back then! I'm in Bristol area, and would rather it was collected.
