Speciale Competition bike

Hi guys, was hoping someone out there could help. I've recently purchased a road bike. I think it's from early 80s? Does anyone know the manufacturer of this frame? It's got world championship stickers on the frame which I think are original. Any feedback would be welcome.

Looks 1960s to me, the decals not original.
100's of frame builders used the same components, perhaps sharp detail pictures of lugs, fork ends etc. might show an individual touch?

Given what looks to be a full set of French components, it's likely the bike is French. If you have a vernier caliper, measure the tube diameters, allowing a little extra for paint. A French bike will have a 26mm top tube, for example.

Looks a little Motobecane-ish to me.
