(SORTED) Campagnolo triple rear derailleur 8-ish speed

I'm not sure about compatibility issues between different generations and models of Campagnolo, but I've got an Athena triple (e.g. long-cage) rear derailleur that has gone bust and need a replacement for it.

Does any of the people in the know have one going spare - either a derailleur or an advise/suggestion?

Reportedly the cage can be fitted to a conventional short cage mech which may help.

I saw a long cage Veloce on the road for sale thread this week too.
