Sony Ericsson Xperia update

Finally got the message to update the software on my phone to Android 2.1. Sony Ericsson software is not the most user-friendly experience is a well known fact but this takes the biscuit.

Backup this - do a little gig - unplug this - and so on ....

Wish I hadn't bothered. Yes, it has worked, but the phone is running slowly and I need to restore all my Facebook, Twitter and email accounts. Getting frustrated :x

Had 2 notifications that there's an update but O2 are, as usual, dragging their heels.

Shame they didn't go straight to 2.2 for the X10 but still......

Have you tried the update software in the > settings > about phone > software update

Aye . . it tells me there's an update available but, when I connect (via usb) to the update service, it says my phone is up to date..

I'm the same with my HTC - been waiting since april for the update they issued - needs "packaged" by the supplier - I'm with virgin.

PC Companion software is somewhat hit and miss :roll:
