...then again, sometimes it is.

Tuesday night DIY appointment cancelled Baiku.

6pm. 5 degrees. Clear sky. Blue and pink turning black. Cross bike. Begin. Shorts. Return. Change. 3/4's, + extra Layer. Fingers and toes, numb and numb-er. Climb above the rest of society and look down on them. Stop, look at Bognor lights and Gatwick planes. The moon lights my way. Half a mile by nature's candles. Rut. Adrenaline. Lights. Greet donkey. Decend. Resist urge to absorb whispy mist over lake moment. Bloodstream not talking to toes and fingers about to go on strike. Spin back past pubs with woodfires and air filled with the promise of roast dinner. 9pm. Home. 0 degrees. Best 6 degrees of separation of my life.

What is a Baiku? i'm guessing its an acronym for something but i work offshore and have that many acronyms in my brain right now that this one defeats me what with OTLs', PSVs', ALQs', OIMs', TCVs', EwinJs'. Plus i'm in the middle of a 3 weeker and my brains fried at the prospect of not being quite half way through my trip yet
