i dont have what you need for swaps but i would be interested in buying.

is the shock/pivots in good order

hiya, sorry for the tardy reply but i'm working backshifts most of the week so morning or late evening posts at the mo.

lewis1641: the pivots feel good. the spring is pretty stiff. i think it's 300lb or so. i'm 12stone and it feels like a xfirm spring like on my pike forks. it's an interesting bodge.
i think you can still get elastomer replacements or at least i remember a website for proflex riders where someone got them made. i haven't researched it a great deal. sorry. i'm in Z2 heaven so haven't looked into the girvins much.

RB: 200mm does sound quite a bit but then you have to minus the 50mm or so for the upper clamp. The frame it was off had a 125mm headtube and with the upper clamp, stem and headset combined there is only 25mm of spacers left.

thanks again for the interest. offers, part/ex, swaps welcome.

I don't think the spring was a bodge on these. My mate has an identical set that came from the factory like this.

Mine are earlier ones (fork / stem combo) which *did* come with an elastomer, and whilst it's not that difficult to replace with an air shock, spacing available is tighter and the pivots need re-making to suit the shock eyes.

For anyone contemplating buying these, all bushes etc are very simple so worn ones can easily be sorted out.

<edit> Ignore me quoting myself below - it's early and I'm distracted by a bacon buttie!

Excuse my rookie question but currently working on my first project which is a Marin IFT frame and looking for a light suspension fork. Would these suit? How heavy are they?

Thanks in advance!

Chris
