Rocky Mountain Blizzard Frame. Silver/White. 17.5” (centre to top). I've been told that it's a 2007 frame, but the serial number suggests to me that it may be 2005. The frame is in very good condition overall, with some cable rub to the top of the top tube, a little bit of chainsuck and a few little marks here and there. No dings, no dents, no deep scratches. The previous owner had covered parts of the frame with tape to protect it. Needs a good clean and polish to bring it back to it’s best, as the previous owner simply used to let the mud dry, and then brush it off. I've pictured the chainsuck which is minimal, but which is also the worst of the marks on the frame. The vast majority of the 'marks' you can see on the frame are just tape residue!

There is one issue in that I've just tried to remove the cranks, and I've managed to strip some of the threads on the non-drive side because the crank arm is stuck  - I have therefore decided to include the cranks and bottom bracket with the frame at no extra cost. The crank arm is still firmly attached to the bottom bracket, so you could just put the drive side back on and use them as normal :)

Frame now includes:
- MiddleBurn RS8 Duo Cranks (complete with Middleburn Hardcoat Duo Chainrings)
- Headset
- Easton EA50 Stem
- Easton Monkeylite Carbon Bars
- XT Front Mech
- WTB Saddle.
- Salsa Fliplock Seatclamp.

Re: Rocky Mountain/Rockshox/SRAM/Middleburn/Hope/Thomson, MORE!

Hi Barney,

I'm interested in the wheelset, are the rotors included and am I right in think these aren't for tubes?

Rotors aren't included, and they aren't tubeless - they take a regular tyre/tube. You can always put a tubeless conversion on them if you wanted to :)

Re: Rocky Mountain/Rockshox/SRAM/Middleburn/Hope/Thomson, XTR!

Photos now up and descriptions amended on a couple of items.

The Middleburn RS8 cranks will now be included with the frame at NO EXTRA COST, because I can't remove the non-drive side crank arm :(

Also, the eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed that the Thomson stem and Thomson seatpost are currently fitted to my Zaskar. This is because I'm using them until my other seatpost and stem arrive, at which point they will be removed.

Re:

Get yourself a biggish bearing puller and you'll probably get that crank arm off. I'd post you mine but you can pick a decent draper one up for abot £15.

I've got a bearing puller in the shed actually.. Never thought about using it  - I'll have to dig it out. Cheers :)

Re:

Tuesday bump.

Surprised that the frame bundle hasn't been snapped up yet!

I'm removing photos of all of the sold items, as there were far too many pictures on there!

I've tried the bearing puller (which was a Draper one, funnily enough), and it didn't work (hence the reason why the cranks are still included with the frame).

The hooks on the bearing puller are too thick to get a hold on the crank arm properly, and I don't want to risk damaging the cranks any more by doing a half-baked job of trying to remove them!

I'm sure that someone with a bit more time, patience and expertise than myself can get the crank arm off in once piece without doing it any further harm. And once it's off, it's still a perfectly nice, perfectly usable chainset - it'll still bolt up perfectly happily to another bottom bracket - you'd just need to employ the same method to remove it again that's all :)
