For Sale: Mavic X517 Red on Hope Ti Red
Front:
Mavic X517 SUP Red 32 hole on Hope Suspension Ti Red, complete with DT Revolution 2/1.7/2mm Double Butted Stainless Spokes & Red alloy nipples.
740gr with 18mm Stringa Rim Tape.
Rear:
Mavic X517 SUP Red 32 hole on Hope Ti Glide Red, complete with DT Revolution 2/1.7/2mm Double Butted Stainless Spokes – nipples replaced with Sapim Polyax.
900gr with 18mm Stringa Rim Tape.

Both come with matching period correct Hope Ti Skewers - F 46gr / R 52gr.
Pawls and springs replaced in Free-hub about 200 miles ago. To be honest, the job didn’t really need doing; I just wanted to see what the replacement & re-grease would achieve.
All bearings very smooth and quiet.
Rims have very little wear to both front & rear (see pictures in link) and always been kept true. The anodising on both rims is still vivid red. The Hubs however have now faded to a charming shade of Light Coral / Fuchsia…… or Pink as it’s also known.
See link for 15 more detailed pictures. I’ve taken them in different light conditions in an attempt to show the true colours – there are also 2 pictures from the last couple of times that they were fitted to a bike to show how they look in situ.
