In the last throws of Dynatech bonded frame building Raleigh pulled out all the stops with the Dynatech Decade. It was a built bike using the MT5 frameset the Trimnell fork and full XTR M900.

This one is a very early one with prototype Trimnell forks. They are fitted without a head tube using a pair of adaptors, M900 headset, shims and a titanium bolt to hold it all together. The whole fork is built for this 18" frame and has no adjustment so needs a straight bar. This one is titanium as well.

The frame main tubes are XMT100 which is a composite material made for the aerospace and petro-chemical industries. " XMT 100 is a metal matrix composite which is silicon carbide whisker re-inforced aluminium" The chainstay is titanium and seat stay steel.

The build was specified by one of the members here "bikemeister2000" (whom I thank for the details used here) and the spec sheet is below

Thanks to "Dossa" there is a scan of a Mountain Bike Magazine Test Ride that he scanned and put up here.

I would call the condition as 9/10 please use the stacks of photos here as a guide to condition. Also included in the sale will be NIB set of M900 pads, new X-lite bar ends as in spec, new Dart tyre as spec and V good vetta SL saddle. Delivery will be on top but can bring to a Main Railway station near you. The bike has been on a couple of retro bike rides and I was the limiting factor rather than frame or setup.

Reasons for sale:- my back is not taking the riding position as well as it used to and i'm sliding to the ro*d a little more. But still have my CinderCone for off road use.

Any questions here, I will of course be open to sensible offers but that price reflects what it cost me to put together.

Can't believe your selling this, I know how much you put into it!

Causes me a dilemma as I really fell for it on the Temple Newsam ride...

Don't think it will hang around long at that price, but may I at least call over to see how sizing checks out...
