Re: Post & wear?

Hello. The 1st question was if the rear mech stays in position and that the chain doesn't want to change down. My current gear does this because the rear main spring is probably worn out & subsequently too weak to retain the chosen position. I have been trying to buy a replacement spring but up to now without success. That is why i am considerering buying a 2nd hand rear mech that is in good condition and at a reasonable price. The 2nd Q was could you could send it Sweden because that is where i live.

Best Regards,
Richard Lees.
P.S.The 1st message was a failure because i went in to the wrong place & wrote the message there. It's not easy teaching old dogs new tricks when they have a small memory capacity.

Re:

Hi Richard,

I'd be more than happy to post to Sweden. I'd need to send by tracked post, but if you are happy with postage cost it's no problem. Presuming it weighs between 300g and 600g it would be £10.15 to Sweden.

In terms of how the mech runs, I have had no issue with changing, up or down. Chain hold position perfectly and it was shifting very nicely. I'm only selling as I got a more modern, upgrade. The only slight issue is that the jockey wheels show a bit of wear, but they were still usable. I found they just made the chain run ever so slightly out of line with each other if that makes sense. Due to the lower wheel being worn, while the upper is pretty much fine. I have more photos I just took that I can upload for you to see if that helps.

I hope that answers your questions. Anything else, just let me know.

Best,

Daniel

Re: Campagnolo Centaur 10 Speed Rear Mech (Silver / Alloy)

If i buy it then i'll probably have to replace the jockey wheels straight away to iradicate any chain alignment problems. They cost roughly £10, i'm guessing. With the cost of the postage on top of that what do you say to an offer of £30 + postage costs? Apologise for not answering earlier, i've been out all day & just got back.

Regards,
Richard Lees.

That would be fine. If you can send me a private message with your address details etc. we can sort things out.
